FrontierSpace is a space simulation engine developed primarily for CobraMUSH. The primary hardcode is written by Ari Johnson and the softcode user interfaces are written by various people on Yesterday's Voyage, which is the primary deployment site of FrontierSpace during its development stages.
FrontierSpace is currently closed-source.
One of the main features of FrontierSpace is infinite in-game customization by the players, not just by administrators. This is accomplished by use of an in-game programming language called ALisp. Please see the ALisp wiki namespace for more information about the language. It can be used to modify ship user interfaces, automate ship activities, and even reprogram the targeting computers in active projectile weapons.
